PSL giants are circling around Chapungu FC’s free-scoring striker

Chapungu FC Edward Watson

A massive stampede is looming for the services of Chapungu FC’s free-scoring striker Edward Watson, Fanzone can reveal, with top PSL clubs vying for his signature.

Watson, who spent the whole of the 2025 season on the sidelines due to injury, has scored nine goals in seven matches for Chapungu FC.

Deservedly, Watson has already been targeted for the mid-season transfer window, with TelOne leading the chase for his signature.

FC Platinum, Hardrock FC, and Scotland FC are also keeping a close eye on him as they seek to strengthen their teams.

Chapungu, however, is open to releasing Kariba, as Watson is fondly known, but only to a club that will ensure his development.

The 2024 Soccer Star of the Year and Golden Boot winner is Chapungu’s mainstay as they seek a return to the PSL.

Just like Wilfred Madzungu, who rose from the Central Region Soccer League, Watson will be hoping to emulate the same feat into the PSL.

As it stands, Chapungu have been clinical in their seven outings, where they have only dropped two points, with six wins and one draw. They sit on top of the Central Region Soccer League table with 19 points.
