“Everything beautiful in its time” – Chinyani rides ZIFA’s coaching revival toward PSL and beyond

ZIFA CAF B

After more than a decade without home-grown CAF courses, Zimbabwean coaching is getting back to work and Africa Mineral Ventures FC head coach Collin Chinyani is right in the middle of it.

ZIFA is currently hosting a fully subscribed CAF B Coaching Course at ZIFA Village. Facilitated by Technical Director Dominique Niyonzima.

The course has strong participation from women too, showing ZIFA’s push for inclusive coach education. Chinyani calls the moment divine timing.

“I would like to thank God as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says he has made everything beautiful in its time,” Chinyani told Fanzone in an exclusive interview.

Chinyani recently joined the Rusape based Africa Mineral Ventures Football Club from Grand Legacy FC. He’s grateful to AMV FC’s president for backing him.

“The president of AMV FC came in as a destiny helper in assisting me to further my coaching education for that I’m grateful.”

Under Mr Niyonzima and coach educator Mr Mutekede, he sees growth ahead.
“By end of this course I will be a better coach.”

The course was graced yesterday by ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi at ZIFA Village in Harare. He shared the Association’s vision and urged coaches to raise standards.
“Coach education remains central to the future of Zimbabwean football,” posted Zifa on their official Facebook page yesterday.

Chinyani feels the weight of history. This is the first CAF B class in years. “I’m proud to be part of the first B Class after a lot of years without courses in the country. Within this course I’m being equipped to work in professional level which is Premier League and D.1.”

“AMV F.C is an ambitious club that is pushing for PSL promotion. As head Coach of the club it is my immediate short term goal to deliver.”

Long term: break ceilings for Zimbabwe.
“Imagine a Zimbabwean Coach taking Warriors to World Cup or winning CAF Champions League or coaching in Elite Leagues.”

From the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League touchlines to CAF classrooms in Harare. Chinyani says the journey is just starting.
