Yadah Football Club had to leave it late to edge Manica Diamonds U19 FC 2-0 in a Week 15 Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League encounter played at The Heart Stadium to shoot back to the top of the standings.

Ageless Allan Gahadzikwa and Munashe Midzi were on target scoring in the 63rd and 87th minute respectively to hand the Miracle Boys this much needed win.

The result sees them return to the apex which had been temporarily occupied by Grand Legacy FC after Saturday’s results.

However, they are not alone at the top. Tenax CS FC who crushed Power FC 3-0 at Gaths Mine are stuck with them at the top but an inferior goal difference keeps the Prisons and Correctional Officers in second.

The Miracle Boys lead the log with 31 points from 13 games played.

They remain unbeaten with 9 wins and 4 draws, having scored 18 goals and conceded 5 for a goal difference of +13.

Tenax CS FC are level on 31 points but from 15 games, with 9 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses.

They have scored 16 and conceded 5, giving them a goal difference of +11.

Grand Legacy FC sit third on 28 points from 14 matches, with 9 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses.

They have scored 22 and conceded 6 for the best goal difference in the league at +16.

Green Fuel FC are fourth also on 28 points from 14 games.

They are still unbeaten with 7 wins and 7 draws, scoring 17 and conceding just 3 goals for a +14 goal difference.

With 15 matches played, the championship race is tight.

Yadah lead the log with 31 points but have played a game less than Tenax, Green Fuel, and Grand Legacy.

Goal difference separates the top two, with Yadah on +13 and Tenax on +11.

Grand Legacy and GreenFuel are both on 28 points and have better goal differences than Tenax at +16 and +14 respectively.

Green Fuel remain unbeaten with 7 wins and 7 draws, conceding just 3 goals in 14 matches.

The points gap from 1st to 4th is three points.

With Yadah holding a game in hand, the battle for top spot will depend on results and goal difference as the season moves past the halfway point in a few weeks time.
