Wanted Edward Watson keeps firing as Chapungu stay top in Central Region

Edward Watson continues to punch above his weight in the ZIFA Central Region Soccer League. The Chapungu striker has scored 11 goals in 12 matches, cementing his reputation as the league’s most wanted man ahead of the upcoming mid-season transfer window.
Watson, heavily linked with PSL debutants Hardrock FC, delivered another sterling performance as Chapungu beat Sabi Gold Mine 3-0 to return to winning ways after a midweek slip.
The Air Force side sits top of the log with 29 points from 12 games. They hold a four-point cushion over second-placed Blanket Mine FC, who have 25 points and remain the only unbeaten team this season.
Gwanda Pirates FC are third on 24 points. Kwekwe United, Grain Tigers and West Nicholson are all locked on 23 points each.
For Chapungu, Watson has been the difference. With PSL clubs including Hardrock FC and FC Platinum circling, the Air Force outfit may soon need a fitting replacement.
The next few weeks are going to be crucial for Watson who is keen to make a move, fancying his chances of making a lasting impression in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
