Barely a week after severing ties with Deportivo La Murambinda FC, Lovemore Dzoro is set for an imminent return to the dugout.

Fanzone can exclusively reveal that Dzoro is on the verge of being appointed as the new substantive head coach of Renco Mine Football Club.

An insider at Renco Mine who wished to remain anonymous told Fanzone that “the deal is as good as done as what is left is signing on the dotted line”.

Dzoro is currently in Masvingo at the Urban Lifestyles Hotel where he is attending as a “representative” from Renco Mine FC at the one day Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League Laws of the Game Workshop.

Teams from Mashonaland East and Manicaland attended the workshop in Rusape yesterday, while teams from Masvingo province are being hosted today at the said hotel.

Fanzone understands that once the workshop concludes, Dzoro will head to Renco Mine for his official unveiling.

The appointment comes days after the miners relieved Misheck Banda of his duties following a poor run that saw Renco record a five match winless run.
“The technical team has also been shown the exit door with Dzoro expected to bring in his own backroom staff,” added the source.

Dzoro leaves Murambinda after a fairytale stint where he turned them into a dark horse in the title race.

At Murambinda he leaves them sitting 6th on the Week 19 log with 34 points from 18 matches, 10 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses.

La Murambinda are just six points behind log leaders Yadah FC.

He now takes over a Renco Mine side that sit 9th on the log with 23 points from 18 matches.

Their record reads: 6 wins, 5 draws, 7 losses, 14 goals scored, 20 conceded and a goal difference of -6.

The miners will be hoping Dzoro can work his magic quickly and drag them up the table in the second half of the season.
