I take my hat off’: Cephas Chimedza impressed by Dembare’s Agyemang in Golden Boot race

Former Warriors left back Cephas Chimedza has showered Dynamos’ Frank Agmeyang with praise, saying he has maximum respect for the Ghanaian’s exploits in front of goal.

Agmeyang has been a vital cog in DeMbare’s quiet but very realistic title charge, having netted eleven goals so far this season.

Despite there being massive competition from Hardrock’s Washington Navaya (12) Scottland’s Khama Billiat and Herentals’ Ralph Kawondera, Chimedza still tips Agmeyang to go all the way come match day 34.

“I like the Golden Boot race of this year. The players are scoring consistently and look on track to reach the 20-goal mark.
Washy (Navaya) has shown consistency. It has not been easy in the past to score consistently in back-to-back seasons,” Chimedza told Fanzone.

“Khama (Billiat) is Khama. Watching his matches, I always think if he had that striker’s selfish trait he would have scored even more, but he is enjoying being a team player.

For Frank (Agmeyang) I have to take my hat off. After last season it could have been easy to write him off and ask why he was still at Dynamos, but now he is the go-to guy for goals.”

Chimedza’s observations reflect the numbers. Navaya is defending his Golden Boot crown, Billiat has combined goals with leadership for log leaders Scottland while Agmeyang has emerged as Dynamos’ main attacking threat after a difficult previous campaign.
