Warriors and Scottland star Emmanuel Jalai has reiterated that he still loves and respects Dynamos despite his move to the defending champions.

Jalai spent six seasons at DeMbare, three of which he was the captain of the Harare giants, before moving to Durban City last year.

He is currently on loan at Scottland for the remainder of the season and played against DeMbare for the first time, when the two sides played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at Rufaro on Wednesday.

The roving right-back described facing his former paymasters as emotional.

“It was an emotional game considering the support that the Dynamos fans always gave me when I was part of the team,” said Jalai.

“But I will always respect the club as well as the supporters,” he added.

Dynamos fans were reminded of what Jalai can offer, as a familiar overlapping burst on the right and a dangerous cross into the box resulted in Panashe Mutimbanyoka’s opener in the 61st minute, before Wisdom Mutasa restored parity.
