Indian fans furious with loss to Zimbabwe, call for head coach Khalid Jimal’s resignation

Football fans in India have shown their displeasure over the Blue Tigers’ defeat to Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup third place play off yesterday, saying it’s unacceptable and head coach Khalid Jimal should resign immediately.

Prince Dube’s first half penalty was the difference between the two sides at the Valley in London as Zimbabwe clinched third place at the expense of India, who finished the tournament without a single goal.

The aftermath of India’s defeat to Zimbabwe saw Indian fans taking to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) to blast Jimal, as well as the country football governing body – India Football Federation (IFF).
