Hwange derby lights up ZIFA Munhumutapa Round 3, as Megawatt seek revenge

ZIFA Munhumutapa Cup Round 3 returns tomorrow with the Hwange derby set to be electric. Megawatt will face Hwange again in a cup clash, with Megawatt seeking revenge for their Independence Cup loss. Hwange, meanwhile, will fight for pride and to maintain their status as Matabeleland North giants.
Speaking to Fanzone, Hwange coach Njabulo Dube said:
“It’s one of the games you’d want to be part of. Here in Hwange, it’s all about bragging rights, and we are very much prepared. Yes, the fixtures have been unkind to us, but I’m happy the boys have shown character in all our games. It has been exciting playing both cup and league because it has given every player a chance to play so far. We’ve managed to rotate players well and manage their recovery, focusing more on injury prevention.”
Megawatt coach Mthandazo Nkala added:
“Hey… it is a big one. The problem is it’s always a game for the boys. As a coach I can’t make a lot of difference. It’s a derby the boys must rise to the occasion or they will be embarrassed again. For now, bragging rights belong to Chipangano. We need to grab them back.”
In other fixtures, fans are eager to see if Jordan will knock out Wafa Wafa top-four champions Nkayi United, who have started a bit slow compared to last season. Nkayi United’s youngest fan, Seth, said he believes his team will come out on top tomorrow in Filabusi. “Siyadla masalu” we will beat them, mother.
