Hardrock take pole position as Scottland stumble in Kariba

With four games remaining before the curtain comes down, ambitious PSL debutants Hardrock moved to the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League following an impressive 2-0 win over a battling Bulawayo Chiefs at Chahwanda Stadium.
The result means Hardrock now sit in first position with 63 points, exactly two points ahead of Scottland, who had been sitting at the top of the table for the better part of the season. Scottland FC dropped points away to ZPC Kariba where they lost 1-0 to the electricity men.
At Chahwanda Stadium it was Washington Navaya who poked the first goal home, breaking the deadlock after 63 minutes as Hardrock marched and pushed for maximum points at home to keep themselves in the running for the PSL title.
Navaya notched home on the 63rd minute before Neliswa Dlamini dotted home with a rasping shot from range right at the death of the match to seal the massive win.
KELVIN KAUNDU ADMITS PRESSURE AS HARDROCK GO TOP

Speaking after the match, Hardrock head coach Kevin Kaindu admitted that being at the top at this stage brings its own pressure.
He said: “To be at the top of the PSL log at this point of the season makes it very difficult. In fact, it’s difficult because every team wants to beat you. We will need to be at our best in the remaining four matches. We cannot afford to relax,” Kaindu said.
Hardrock FC remain with four crucial matches which they all but need to win. They face Dynamos in their next match which will be away at Rufaro Stadium.
Their last fixture against Dynamos ended 2-1 in favour of Dynamos with the match being initially abandoned. In the remaining matches after Dynamos they will host MWOS FC, another tricky tie which they will be hoping to win.
That will be followed by a tricky away fixture to Simba Bhora FC who they will be hoping to complete a double over. They will then wrap up the season with the Midlands derby against rivals FC Platinum.
As it stands Hardrock FC have 63 points on their tally while Scottland have 61 points to show. At this point of the season any slip up could prove costly and decide where the PSL title will end.
