Benjani calls for focus as Bosso, CAPS clash in Chibuku Super Cup semi-final showdown

Highlanders have set their sights firmly on the Chibuku Super Cup final as they prepare for a blockbuster semi-final clash against CAPS United in Harare this tomorrow, with head coach Benjani Mwaruwari urging his troops to focus on the task ahead.
Bosso go into the encounter knowing the cup represents their only realistic chance of silverware this season, with their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign now reduced to a battle for a top half finish.
Speaking ahead of the eagerly-anticipated clash, Mwaruwari said his side has no other target but to win and advance to the final.
“I think this one is obvious. We don’t have any target apart from going to the final, playing this game and trying to win and going to the final,” Mwaruwari said.
The Bulawayo giants have endured a difficult time against Makepekepe this season, losing both home and away in the league, a fact Mwaruwari is well aware of.
“We all know CAPS United is the team that gave us lots of problems. They have beaten us home and away and every game is different,” he said.
Despite that record, the Bosso gaffer insists his charges are fully focused and ready to go all out in the capital.
“You know we are preparing to win the game and this is a semi-final. I think we are going there to Harare to go all flat out,” Mwaruwari said.
“And the boys, they know exactly what it means and they are ready for it.”
The former Manchester City striker believes there will be no second chances in the knockout competition.
“That’s the only thing that we are left with. In the league, we are left with maybe we can finish in the top half. And on this one we don’t have any second chance. We just have to go there and try and win the game.”
