Harare City coach Try Ncube has urged his players to remain focused and finish the job when they host Jumbo Giants in the final match of the MCM Estates Northern Region Soccer League season this Saturday, insisting that the job is not yet done.

The Sunshine Boys are now top of the standings and need just one more victory to secure their return to the
Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

“We are at the top now with just one game to go, but despite what many are saying, the job is not yet done. Against Jumbo at home, we have to give our all. It is the final push and a must-win at all costs.l,” Ncube told Fanzone.

“I believe in this team, and we desperately need this victory as Harare City to seal our promotion,” added Ncube.

Harare City took control of the promotion race following a crucial 1-0 victory over Zambezi G&C, moving above Black Rhinos at a decisive and arguably most critical stage of the season.

Rhinos dropped points after drawing 1-1 against Chingwere, giving Harare City the advantage heading into the final round.

The latest standings have Harare City on 80 points from 41 matches, just one ahead of Black Rhinos, who have 79 points. Chingwere are third with 76 points.

After spending much of the season chasing the leading pack, Harare City have found their best form at the right time and now have their destiny in their own hands.

They welcome will Jumbo Giants at Callies Sports Club, knowing that victory will guarantee them the championship and promotion to the PSL, regardless of other results.

Black Rhinos must beat Karoi United away at Chikangwe Stadium and hope Harare City drop points if they are to stand a chance of winning the title.

Chingwere, who host Chegutu Pirates at Pfupajena Stadium, are now out of the title race following their draw with Rhinos.

The stage is set for an exciting final day, with Harare City just 90 minutes away from returning to Zimbabwe’s top-flight league.
