Why has Denver Mukamba been missing in action at FC Hunters?

Denver Mukamba’s continued absence from FC Hunters has sparked questions, but the club’s leadership insist the former Warriors captain remains part of their squad.

The 2012 Soccer Star of the Year has been missing from the Hunters setup for several weeks, raising fresh questions about his whereabouts and future at the Premiership debutants.

WHERE IS DENVER MUKAMBA?

Mukamba was last seen in public explaining that he was still committed to football and had no plans to retire.

“I will soon be back; I am still with Hunters although I am currently busy with other commitments,” said Mukamba.

His absence had previously been linked to a tooth problem and later, the death of a relative.

However, FC Hunters Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Terrence Malunga clarified Mukamba’s absence, saying the lanky midfielder asked to be excused because he is unwell.

“He is not feeling well. He asked to be excused and we granted him his wish. When he gets better, he will return to work,” says Malunga.

Mukamba joined Hunters as a free agent at the start of the 2026 season after leaving Dynamos, bringing considerable experience to a side now fighting for PSL survival.

With the season entering a crucial stage, Hunters will hope to have the veteran midfielder back soon.

For now, the club’s position is clear: Mukamba remains a Hunters player, but his return date is still unknown.
