Transfer business hots up as Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League sets July 31 deadline
While the clock ticks towards key administrative deadlines, transfer business in the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League is already in full swing as clubs look to strengthen for the second half of the season.
In a press release dated 20 July 2026, Regional Administrator Fungai Munyoro-Chingaira reminded all clubs that the player registration window “is still open and will close on 31 July 2026.”
“All clubs are urged to complete all player registrations, transfers and re-lodged processes before the deadline. No late submissions will be considered after closure of the registration period,” the statement read.
Several clubs have not wasted time, Deportivo La Murambinda FC have been busy in the market, bringing in two new faces so far. Midfielder Hillary Bakacheza joins from Masvingo United FC, while winger Shawn Mupesa makes the switch from MCM Estates Northern Region Soccer League side Marere FC.
Title contenders Africa Mineral Ventures FC have also flexed their muscles.
The Rusape based side have secured the signature of Dynamos forward Enesio Perezu Jr on loan until the end of the season, and have added firepower up front with striker Tinashe Mangezi arriving from Bikita Minerals FC.
With the business underway, the league will resume its fixtures on “31 July 2026. Clubs are therefore encouraged to finalise all administrative requirements in preparation for the second half of the season.”
Adding to the busy week, the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League has also confirmed a Mandatory Laws of the Game Workshop facilitated by the ZIFA Referees Committee. It will be held on “25 July 2026 – Manicaland and Mashonaland East Clubs” and “26 July 2026 – Masvingo Clubs.”
“Attendance by Technical Officials, Club Secretaries and Club Administrators is compulsory. Failure to attend may result in sanctions in accordance with the League Rules and Regulations,” the release warned.
It concluded with a final reminder: “Clubs are urged to take note and ensure full compliance.”
With new signings in, registration closing, and football returning on the same day, the next 10 days will define who is ready to challenge for the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League title.
