Simba SC want Prince Dube: Tanzanian giants target Hardrock star
EXCLUSIVE: Tanzania giants Simba SC are aiming to lure Hardrock FC star Prince Dube back to East Africa.
Dube, one of Hardrock‘s marquee signings of the mid-season transfer window in July, is already wanted back in Tanzania – barely three months since his return home.
The 29-year-old striker, who was named in Warriors coach Ramon Catala’s 24-man Warriors squad to face Sierra Leone and DRC in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, is a revered figure in Tanzania after a successful career at Azam FC and later Young Africans (Yanga).

Dube is one of seven locally-based stars to make the cut. Scottland FC provide five players – Nelson Chadya, Emmanuel Jalai, Kevin Moyo, Abubakar Moffat and Peter Muduhwa – while Hardrock FC have two: Dube and goalkeeper Martin Mapisa.
In Tanzania, Dube enjoyed a decent career and was ranked among the top strikers in East Africa. During his first stint at Azam FC, Prince Dube established himself as one of the deadliest strikers in the Tanzanian Mainland Premier League.
In the 2021 season, he scored 18 goals in all competitions, a tally that made him Azam’s second-best goalscorer in a single season in the club’s history.
Dube hit the ground running in Chamazi, leading the league’s scoring charts early on with 14 goals in his initial run.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Simba have come for Dube. In early 2024, Simba SC and Sudanese side Al Hilal submitted official bids for Dube when he was still at Azam FC.
Rather than joining Simba, Dube left Azam and crossed the floor to sign a two-year contract with Young Africans SC in July 2024.
After two successful seasons with Yanga, Dube’s contract expired and he completed a move back to Zimbabwe to join Premier Soccer League newboys Hardrock FC in July 2026.
Now, the Wekundu wa Msimbazi are back in pursuit of the striker, who has so far scored four goals for Hardrock since his arrival.
