Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League Administrator looks forward to a competitive 2026 season‎

‎The Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League Administrator, Fungai Munyoro-Chingaira, is optimistic about the upcoming 2026 season, praising clubs for their commitment to paying affiliation fees.

‎Last Friday was the cut off date for payment of affiliation fees by clubs in the Pacific Storm bankrolled league.

‎Kick-off for the upcoming 2026 campaign is slated for mid-March.

‎Speaking to Fanzone, Munyoro-Chingaira said the response from clubs had been “very positive and encouraging”, with most meeting the deadline. “The response reflects growth, stability, and confidence in the league’s direction,” she added, highlighting the level of preparedness shown by clubs.

‎Regarding outstanding payments, Munyoro-Chingaira warned that any clubs failing to meet the deadline would be handled in line with league regulations, but emphasized that genuine cases would be reviewed administratively. “No blanket waivers are being offered,” she stressed, underscoring the importance of fairness and consistency across all clubs.

‎Looking ahead to the season, Munyoro-Chingaira expressed high expectations, citing significant investments by clubs in player registration, technical staff development, administrative compliance, and infrastructure preparedness. “We’re looking for a highly competitive and professionally run season,” she said, outlining targets that include improved match organization, strict adherence to regulations, enhanced competitiveness, and professional conduct on and off the field.

‎To ensure a successful kickoff, the league has put in place several measures, including induction programs, player registration courses, and stadium inspections. “Our goal is to ensure that when the season kicks off, all participating teams are fully compliant and ready to compete at the highest possible standard,” added Munyoro-Chingaira encouraging clubs to engage qualified coaches and technical staff to improve the standard of football in the region.
