Mutasa expects ‘fireworks’ in Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final against Highlanders
MWOS FC head coach Lloyd Mutasa is expecting an exciting encounter when his team travels to Bulawayo to face Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium, in a Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final slated for this Sunday.
Mutasa, who guided the Punters to the semi-finals of the tournament last season, believes the encounter will be an entertaining affair, with fireworks guaranteed “regardless of who comes out on top.”
“You know, when you play a Highlanders side at Barbourfields Stadium it’s always going to be a massive game,” Mutasa said.
“Every time we come to play at Barbourfields we never have it easy. We are expecting a very, very tough encounter , but very exciting.
“These are the kind of matches we want these youngsters to be exposed to, to showcase themselves. And I hope the fans will be entertained,” he added.
MWOS, despite being no where near what they were in their debut campaign last year, have impressed this season with their fearless brand of football, while Highlanders will be banking on home support to get them over the line.
With both teams boasting a crop of exciting young talent, fans can expect an open and entertaining affair in Bulawayo.
