Ngezi Platinum U19 goalkeeper Talent Mugadhla enjoyed a memorable weekend after receiving both the MCM Estates Goalkeeper of the Month and Player of the Month awards, a remarkable achievement that underlines his growing influence in the Northern Region Soccer League.

For a goalkeeper to scoop both awards is a rare feat in football, where attacking players often dominate individual accolades.

The double recognition speaks volumes about the impact the young shot-stopper has made for Ngezi Platinum U19, a side currently among the leading contenders for the title.

Mugadhla has been a vital figure between the posts, producing crucial saves and displaying maturity beyond his years as Ngezi continue their push for promotion.

His performances have given the team a solid defensive foundation in a highly competitive title race.

Speaking after receiving the awards, Mugadhla credited his success to the unwavering support of his coach and teammates.

He revealed that they constantly encouraged him to believe in himself despite his young age and the presence of more experienced goalkeepers within the squad.

“They always told me that I could do it,” said the young goalkeeper. “Their confidence in me helped me keep working hard and believing in my abilities,” said Mugadhla.

The celebrations did not end there for Ngezi Platinum U19.

Head coach Farai Tawachera was also recognised for the team’s impressive form, walking away with the MCM Estates Coach of the Month Award.

With both player and coach honoured, the awards serve as recognition of the excellent work being done at Ngezi Platinum U19 as they continue their quest to challenge for top honours in the Northern Region Soccer League.
