Highlanders identify Mongameli Tshuma’s replacement
Highlanders have identified a replacement for departing star Mongameli Tshuma as they prepare for life after the talismanic midfielder.
Bosso have identified Hwange teenage sensation Tamuka Chivandire, and they targeting the 18-year-old versatile player to fill the void which will be left by Tshuma.
Bosso have moved swiftly to plan for the future after Tshuma was sold to ambitious Premiership debutants Hardrock next season in a record US$200,000 deal.
The highly-rated Chivandire, who can play as a winger and midfielder, is currently on the books of ZIFA Southern Region Division One side Hwange FC, the same club where Highlanders unearthed Tshuma.

According to a source close to Fanzone, the Highlanders executive is already preparing for life without their midfield revelation.
“The Highlanders executive is already preparing for life after Mongameli, as you know, the player was sold to Hardrock and will join them next season,” said the source.
“They are targeting highly gifted teenage winger Tamuka Chivandire, who in a way, is very similar to Mongameli in terms of style of play.”
Bosso will, however, have to fend off competition from FC Platinum, who are also monitoring the highly-rated winger.
Tshuma, affectionately known as Smaller by the Bosso faithful, arrived at the start of the season as an unheralded recruit but became a household name in just two months.
The lanky midfielder scored against bitter rivals Dynamos and marked his Warriors debut with a goal against Botswana, a meteoric rise that sparked a bidding war among Premier League clubs.
Hardrock eventually won the race, making Tshuma the most expensive domestic transfer with a US$200k fee. Chivandire is now seen as the ideal heir to continue Bosso’s tradition of turning Hwange talent into Bulawayo stars.
