Golden Arrows head coach Pitso Dladla has issued a major update on their new signing Jonah Fabisch, explaining why the midfielder is yet to make his debut for Abafana Bes’thende.

Fabisch joined Arrows in July 2026 ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season after leaving German 3. Liga side Erzgebirge Aue.

The Zimbabwean international was signed as a replacement for Ivory Coast star Isaac Cisse, who departed for Belgian Pro League club RC Sporting Charleroi.

Despite arriving during pre-season and drawing interest from several local clubs, the 25-year-old has not featured in any of Arrows’ seven competitive matches so far this season.

WHAT THE GOLDEN ARROWS COACH SAID ON FABISCH

Dladla addressed the matter following Arrows’ 3-2 aggregate defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final at King Zwelithini Stadium.

“For now, he is with our medical team. He sustained a minor injury in training. They are working on him,” Dladla said.

The former Hamburger SV youth product was brought in to add depth and quality to Arrows’ midfield. The club will hope he returns to full fitness soon as they look to gain momentum in the league campaign.

Fabisch will also be hoping to recover in time for Zimbabwe’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers under new Warriors coach Ramon Catala.

The Warriors were drawn in Group E alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
