Breaking: Chinyani quits Grand Legacy after 7 weeks- AMV next?

Today has been a day of resignations. Just hours after Warriors head coach Mario Marinica stepped down, Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League side Grand Legacy Football Club were rocked by the sudden departure of head coach Saint Collin Chinyani, who has quit with immediate effect after only seven weeks in charge.
In a letter dated 27 April 2026 addressed to club president Mr Panganai Nyamayaro, Chinyani confirmed his exit “with a heavy heart,” bringing an abrupt end to what was his first professional head coaching role.
“It has been a privilege to lead the team,” Chinyani wrote. “To the players, I am proud of what we have built together in such a short space of time. We assembled a strong and competitive squad that has begun to make a significant impact in the region.”
Chinyani’s brief reign was a tale of two venues. At home in Murehwa, Grand Legacy were untouchable — winning all three matches at St Paul’s Musami Stadium.
But on the road, they failed to pick up a single point, losing all three away fixtures.
Chinyani’s Grand Legacy Record:
P6 | W3 | L3
Home: W3 D0 L0 Conceeded 0 goals.
Away: W0 D0 L3
Despite the mixed results, Chinyani thanked the President, his family, the executive, technical team, players, and fans for their “unwavering support,” calling the opportunity “significant” in his career.
And Fanzone can exclusively reveal where he’s headed next.
Sources close to Fanzone understand that Chinyani is set to take over at Africa Mineral Ventures Football Club, with the deal already done.
AMV FC are currently 7th in the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League after their 1-1 draw with Deportivo La Murambinda on Sunday.
If confirmed, it would mark a swift return to the touchline for “Saint-Collin” Chinyani, who leaves Grand Legacy with his home record intact and a reputation for building competitive squads quickly.
Grand Legacy FC are yet to comment on Chinyani’s departure or announce an interim replacement.
