Black Rhinos open 8-point lead af the top of MCM Estates NRSL

Black Rhinos tightened their grip on the MCM Estates Northern Region Soccer League title race after a commanding 3-0 victory over Batanai, extending their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

The army side capitalised on Harare City’s 2-0 defeat to MWOS U19 on Tuesday, opening a significant gap as the championship race enters a crucial stage.

Elsewhere, Ngezi Stars U19 continued their impressive form with a convincing 3-0 win over Rangers, while Jumbo Giants edged Banket United 2-1 in one of the day’s entertaining encounters.

Chingwere maintained their push in the upper half of the table thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory over Black Mambas, and Marere also collected maximum points after defeating Shamva Mine 1-0.

There was a surprise result at PAM, where the hosts upset G&T Mining 2-1, while Karoi United and Cranborne Bullets shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Two fixtures ended goalless as Zambezi G&C drew with Chegutu Pirates, and Golden Eagles played out a stalemate against CP Chemicals.

The match between Highrange and FC Oden was abandoned, with the circumstances yet to be officially confirmed.

With Black Rhinos now holding an eight-point advantage, the pressure is firmly on the chasing pack to respond as the Northern Region title race gathers momentum.
