Ambitious Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League side Deportivo La Murambinda have appointed Lovemore Dzoro as their new Head Coach, replacing Allen “Makwatsi” Gwangwara, with the experienced tactician looking to make an immediate impact.
Dzoro, who was previously the assistant coach at Rusitu Tigers FC, joins La Murambinda with a wealth of experience, having also worked at St Paul’s Musami FC.
He will work alongside Ben Chari, who has been acting as interim coach since Gwangwara’s departure late last year.
”I’m thrilled and overwhelmed,” Dzoro told Fanzone.”Focus is on building a winning team, working with players, and making the club proud. It’s a huge honour and it means everything to lead this club, create a legacy, and inspire players.”
La Murambinda finished 8th with 42 points last season, but Dzoro is confident his team can push higher in the upcoming 2026 campaign. “Build team cohesion, identify players’ strengths and weaknesses. Win tournaments, develop young players, and make the club a top contender,” he said.
The club recently held trials to scout for quality players, and according to sources, they’re targeting experienced players to bolster their squad.
Speedy winger Munashe Mudowaya, who won the Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League with FC Hunters, is set to join the squad, alongside three Ghanaian internationals.
Speaking of high expectations, Dzoro is ready to put his money where his mouth is: “I’m excited to start this chapter. We will work hard, play with passion, and aim high. Expect commitments, teamwork, and growth. Let’s make this season unforgettable.”
Will La Murambinda finally break through and claim the top spot?
Only time will tell.
