Dynamos chairman Vincent Chawonza says the club is happy for Emmanuel Jalai, after the Warriors star sealed a move to South African Premiership side Durban City.
Jalai bared farewell to Dynamos after spending six years at the Harare giants, two of which he captained them to Chibuku Super Cup success.
The roving right back, who was a Soccer Star of the Year finalist for the last two seasons, was on the radar of several clubs across Africa, after impressing in the just-ended AFCON finals in Morocco despite the Warriors failing to progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Speaking on this week’s Fanzone episode, Chawonza heaped praise on Jalai, highlighting the Aces Youth Academy’s immense love for Dynamos and how it will always be appreciated.
“We are happy for Jalai, for the contribution he has made for the club. If we don’t do that, we are not appreciating the boy enough,” said Chawonza.
“A good opportunity came for him. As the chairman of the club, I was actually praying for him as well for the deal to go through.
“There was a potential deal in North Africa, before the one he settled for in South Africa.
“You must also know that before we lead these clubs, we are also parents. I’m happy for the boy and the deal that he has got,” added Chawonza.
