Warriors international Shane Maroodza has been shown the exit door by Irish First Division side Kerry FC after he was reportedly caught stealing in a supermarket.
The 21-year-old defender was announced by the club as their new signing last Friday, and even featured in the 3-0 defeat to UCD the very same day.
Kerry, to the shock of Irish football fans, have issued a statement announcing that they have released Maroodza, as well as goalkeeper Mathyas Randriamamy.
“Mathyas Randriamamy and Shane Maroodza have been released from Kerry FC. Unfortunately, their values and principles didn’t match the standards of the club,” the club said in a statement.
The club even disabled replies on the post on microblogging site X, formerly Twitter.
