The Warriors and Highlanders could not be separated and played out a goalless draw in an entertaining exhibition match played at Babourfields Stadium today.
Mario Marinica’s troops are preparing for the upcoming Mukuru Four-nations tournament which kicks off in Francistown this Saturday.
The clash was also played in honor of Bosso, in celebration of the Bulawayo giants’ 100 years of existence.
It was also the first match played by the Warriors in Zimbabwe, in front of fans, since September 2019.
Bosso’ Prince Ndlovu had the opportunity to draw first blood just after the half hour mark, after dancing past Godknows Murwira but the youngster’s effort went just wide of Marley Tavaziva’s right hand post.
Ndlovu, who was having a field day, went past two defenders before finding Brighton Ncube, whose effort also went just wide.
It was goalless at the high time break as both teams could not find the opener.
The second half saw Bosso dominating exchanges in the middle of the park but no meaningful goalscoring opportunities were created.
