TelOne FC welcome Dynamos to Bata Stadium this weekend for their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 20 fixture, but despite the stature of both clubs, the match may not live up to its historical billing.
TelOne are currently 4th on the log, but their recent form has been rather uninspiring. They are currently on a three-match streak of draws, and have drawn four of their last five games, with their only victory coming against high-flying Scottland FC. Despite their strong position on the table, TelOne have struggled to claim the full three points lately.
Dynamos, meanwhile, are enduring one of their worst seasons in recent memory. Sitting in 17th place, the Harare giants have won just one of their last five games—against Yadah—drawn three, and suffered a 0-2 defeat to Herentals. Goals have been extremely hard to come by, with just two scored in their last five outings.
TelOne’s top striker, Washington Navaya, is currently on a four-day trial with Durban City in South Africa, and his absence could limit their attacking threat even further.
With both sides struggling for goals and consistency, this clash may turn out to be a cautious and low-scoring affair.
