Nick Woltemade, a rising star in German football, has reportedly reached an informal agreement with Bayern Munich regarding a future move. Despite this development, Stuttgart have made it clear that they do not intend to allow the 23-year-old forward to leave during the current transfer window.
After an impressive campaign where he found the net 17 times and followed it up with standout performances at the ongoing UEFA Under-21 Championship, Woltemade has caught the attention of Germany’s top clubs. Bayern are said to be eager to secure the striker’s services on a long-term arrangement through 2030, and their supervisory board has already given its consent.
Nevertheless, Stuttgart view the young attacker as a cornerstone of their future and remain unwilling to let him go unless they receive an offer well above market value. The club has no interest in entering negotiations at this point.
Stuttgart leaders rule out summer departure
Stuttgart’s sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, responded firmly to the swirling rumors. Speaking to Bild, he acknowledged the widespread attention but dismissed the idea of an impending exit for Woltemade.
“The increasing external speculation and daily reports about interest from other teams do not change our position,” he said. “Nick’s development here is far from complete.”
Wohlgemuth emphasized that Stuttgart remains fully invested in the striker’s continued growth. “We are counting on Nick and want to keep benefiting from what he brings to the pitch. We are not considering any alternatives,” he declared.
Club CEO delivers clear message on striker’s future
Echoing the same stance, Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle provided a brief but decisive comment regarding the situation. “Nick will be part of our squad next season. That’s final,” he stated.
Unless Bayern come forward with a bid that far exceeds expectations, Stuttgart are not entertaining the idea of letting go of one of their most valuable players. For now, all signs point to Woltemade remaining in Swabia as he continues to develop his promising career.
