Scott Sakupwanya: Scottland will be dreaded like Manchester City

Scottland FC boss Scott Sakupwanya has sensationally claimed that he will further transform his team into a dreaded and fiery machine, just like EPL giants Manchester City.
Sakupwanya made these remarks during the latest episode of the Scottland FC podcast, where he also revealed their acquisition of Malawian defender Nickson Nyasulu from FC Platinum.
The Mabvuku-based side have struck the right chords, crucially, as the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League has passed the halfway mark.
More pertinently, they have managed to beat teams that were deemed the strongest contenders for the PSL title — Caps United FC and Hardrock FC. They beat them both by a 2-0 margin, with Knowledge Musona notching braces in the matches.
WHAT SCOTT SAKUPWANYA SAID
However, Sakupwanya says they are stopping at nothing to form a dreaded juggernaut that will also plunge into the club’s first-ever CAF Champions League in the 2026/27 edition.
“Expect more players. We have already signed Nickson Nyasulu from FC Platinum. I am in talks with many clubs for players and transactions. Right now I am in talks with Kaizer Chiefs for player movements and other players that are in Europe,” Sakupwanya said.

BIG REWARDS FOR SCOTTLAND FC PLAYERS
Meanwhile, Scottland FC players will receive US$10,000 each for topping the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table after 18 matches.
Sakupwanya initially promised the squad US$5,000 each if they finished the first round of fixtures in first place. He doubled the amount following their 2-0 win over Hardrock at Rufaro on Sunday.
The victory meant Scottland stay top regardless of the outcome of Hardrock’s pending disciplinary case against Dynamos. That match was abandoned, and Hardrock could still be awarded the points.
Scottland now have 37 points from 18 games, five points ahead of second-placed Hardrock, who have a game in hand. Even if Hardrock are given the points from the Dynamos match, Scottland will still lead by two points.
