AC Milan overturned an early deficit to secure a 3-1 away success against Como on Thursday evening, with Adrien Rabiot delivering two decisive goals.
The Rossoneri remain second in the table with 43 points, sitting three behind leaders Inter Milan and holding a three-point cushion over Napoli in third place. Como, meanwhile, stay sixth on 34 points.
The home side began with confidence and was rewarded inside 10 minutes, as Marc-Oliver Kempf powered a header into the net from a corner to put Como ahead.
Penalty shifts momentum before the break
Como continued to dictate large spells of the opening half and limited Milan’s attacking rhythm.
However, just before the interval, the visitors found a way back into the contest. Christopher Nkunku kept his composure from the spot, converting a penalty after Kempf was punished for a shove on Rabiot.
That late goal ensured Milan reached the dressing room level despite spending much of the half under pressure.
Rabiot and Maignan turn the tide
After the restart, Milan were repeatedly rescued by goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who produced several key interventions to deny the hosts.
The turnaround was completed in the 55th minute when Rabiot reacted quickest in the area, guiding the ball over the line from close range to give Milan the lead.
Como came close to restoring parity as Nico Paz struck the crossbar with a long-range effort, but their hopes faded late on. Two minutes from the end, Rabiot surprised the defense with a low shot from a distance that rolled into the corner to seal the result.
Speaking after collecting the Man of the Match award, Rabiot praised the collective effort, highlighting the team’s response after the interval and the determination shown to claim all three points.
Maignan also underlined the challenge of the occasion, noting Milan’s slow start, the hostile atmosphere, and the physical demands required to see out a valuable victory.
