Paris St-Germain extended their perfect Champions League record with a stunning 7-2 demolition of Bayer Leverkusen. The defending champions started aggressively, taking the lead in the seventh minute when Willian Pacho met Nuno Mendes’ curling delivery to nod home.
Leverkusen were given a chance to respond after Illia Zabarnyi fouled Claudio Echeverri in the area, but Alejandro Grimaldo’s penalty rebounded off the post. Flurry of goals before the break
PSG’s numerical edge didn’t last long when Zabarnyi was sent off for hauling down Christian Kofane, allowing Aleix Garcia to score from the spot.
However, the visitors quickly took control again. Doue restored their lead with a neat finish into the corner, before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s precise first-time strike clipped both posts and went in.
Doue then capped a rapid counterattack with a composed curler, making it 4-1 by halftime and completing a dazzling first-half display.
Mendes and Dembele add to the damage
The second period began with Vitinha slicing through Leverkusen’s defense to release Mendes, who finished calmly at the near post.
Garcia offered brief hope for the home side with a superb long-range shot that found the top corner, but substitute Ousmane Dembele marked his return from injury by tapping in PSG’s sixth soon after entering the field.

Vitinha rounded off the scoring late on, driving a low shot into the bottom corner to cap PSG’s dominant evening.
Despite inconsistent form in Ligue 1, where they have slipped behind Marseille, the Parisian side showed no such weaknesses in Europe, maintaining their flawless group-stage campaign with another statement victory.
