After a failed reunion with Dynamos, veteran defender Partson Jaure is trying his luck at Kwekwe United in the Central Region Soccer League, Fanzone can reveal.
Jaure, who spent half of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season without a club, is back on the market in search for a new club.
The 35-year-old trained with Dynamos earlier in January, but it appears Genesis Mangombe could not give him another chance, just like he did at Triangle last season.
As such, Jaure is training with the new-look Kwekwe United, brimming with confidence after receiving a financial injection from Betterbrands.
Jaure headlines a cast of former PSL players hoping to join the Golden Boys. The list also includes former CAPS United anchorman Blessing Sarupinda and Ricky Bota, formerly with Shabanie Mine FC.
The former Warriors defender, Jaure, rose from the Dynamos juniors in 2010 to become the captain of a trailblazing side that won four consecutive league titles, but he missed the fourth one after securing a move to South Africa.
At 35, Jaure is undoubtedly in the twilight of his football career that has taken him to South Africa and Zambia as well as to the national team, The Warriors.
Joining Kwekwe United in the Central Region will be an inspiration to budding footballers. Three league titles and a couple of cup accolades in his initial four-year stay at Dynamos between 2010 and 2014 may be difficult to emulate, but just like what Devon Chafa did at Hardrock FC in 2025, Jaure’s presence will help the team achieve a quick return to the PSL.
Meanwhile, Fanzone has it on good authority that Kwekwe United sealed the deal with former Caps United winger speedster Ian Nyoni. Nyoni spent last season at GMB-owned Grain Tigers FC, where the current Kwekwe United coach, Tendai Chikuni, was.
Chikuni, who recently roped in former Dulibadzimu United FC and Triangle United FC assistant coach Stanley Ncube, is likely to tap more players from Grain Tigers.
