Nicolas Jackson may be on his way out of Chelsea following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap during the current transfer window. The club has reportedly presented the striker to three teams — AC Milan, Manchester United, and Newcastle United — though no agreement has been finalized as of yet, according to talkSPORT.
The London side has also reportedly lowered their initial price tag for the Senegalese forward. While Jackson was initially valued at £100 million (approximately $135 million), the figure has since been reduced to £80 million (around $106 million), in an apparent effort to facilitate a potential sale.
Other clubs look elsewhere as Jackson waits
Despite being approached with the offer, both Manchester United and Newcastle are said to be focusing their attention on a different target: Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig. The two Premier League clubs are believed to be in competition for the 21-year-old striker. Meanwhile, Manchester United is also reported to have interest in Juventus attacker Dusan Vlahovic ahead of the league’s kickoff.
Since joining Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023, Jackson has found the net 30 times across 81 matches. He held the position of lead striker last season. However, disciplinary issues, including dismissals in matches against Newcastle in league play and Flamengo in the Club World Cup, may have contributed to Chelsea’s willingness to part ways with him.
Chelsea’s pre-season includes upcoming matches against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan, which will serve as preparation before their Premier League campaign begins against Crystal Palace. How head coach Enzo Maresca chooses his squad for those games could hint at whether Jackson still has a role at the club moving forward.
