Tonderai Ndiraya has already fallen for Bulawayo’s charm at Chicken Inn FC, joking he will never going back to the capital, Harare.
Ndiraya led Chicken Inn to their first win of the 2026 season, beating Triangle United 2-0 at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday. Lynoth Chikuhwa and Innocent Masiiwa scored for The Gamecocks.
With expectations high for the 2024 and 2025 PSL title-winning coach to bring home the coveted trophy for the Bulawayo side, Chicken Inn appears to be a force to reckon with, given their start to the season and Ndiraya’s experience.
They are currently second on the table with four points, behind Caps United’s perfect record (six points).

In his post-match comments, Ndiraya said: “I’m now born and raised. I don’t think I’ll go back to Harare. We had planned for this game, and it was important for us to get maximum points.
“Remember in my previous comments I said we got a massive, massive point in Harare when we drew against Hunters. But for that point to be massive or a golden one, we needed to take advantage of this fixture. We did what we wanted to do and that is the real goal that we are playing with, the golden point.”
Ndiraya added,”So as a team, if you want to win your own matches, try to get something when you play away and we have done that in the last two games. And what more can you ask from the players.
“I liked how the boys absorbed all the pressure. Naturally when you’re under pressure you play on the break and then in the end I think that’s how we got that second goal. So overall I think it was a great performance, great effort from all the boys. They fought hard for maximum and they came to me and gave me a little grant.”
