Musona masterclass powers Scottland past Hardrock

Scottland FC strengthened their position at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table with an impressive 2-0 victory over Hardrock FC at Rufaro Stadium, delivering a statement performance against one of their closest rivals in the title race.
The match featured two sides with ambitions of finishing at the summit, but it was Scottland who looked the sharper and more composed outfit throughout much of the contest. Their quality in the final third ultimately proved decisive.
Knowledge Musona was the star of the afternoon, producing a clinical display to score both goals. The veteran forward opened the scoring in the 21st minute after a flowing team move involving Walter Musona and Khama Billiat. The experienced striker was perfectly positioned to apply the finishing touch and give Scottland a deserved lead.
Scottland continued to control proceedings and doubled their advantage just before half-time. After Billiat’s powerful effort crashed against the crossbar, Knowledge Musona reacted quickest to fire home the rebound and complete his brace. The goal capped an excellent first-half display from the league leaders.
Hardrock, who had entered the fixture with an impressive record of their own, struggled to break down a disciplined Scottland defence. Despite their efforts after the break, they were unable to find a route back into the match as Scottland managed the game professionally.
The victory underlined Scottland’s growing credentials as genuine title contenders. With experienced stars such as Khama Billiat and the Musona brothers leading the way, they continue to show why they are one of the most feared sides in the division.
For Hardrock, it was a disappointing afternoon, but one that offers valuable lessons as the season progresses. Scottland, meanwhile, march on with confidence after another important three points in their pursuit of league glory.
