Morata’s switch to Como faces setback amid tensions

Alvaro Morata’s anticipated move to Como has encountered complications, as reported by Calciomercato. The issue stems from Galatasaray’s frustration with the forward, whom they accuse of attempting to exit the club prematurely. The Spanish striker’s representatives are currently in talks with AC Milan, trying to reach an agreement that aligns with the interests of all involved parties.

Morata is currently on loan in Turkey, with his deal set to continue through January 2026. However, Milan are seeking to end the agreement early. Galatasaray, reportedly dissatisfied with Morata’s efforts to leave without compensation, are open to discussions but are demanding a payment equivalent to 50% of the €6 million they invested.

Como also pursue Thiaw amid ongoing talks

Aside from their interest in Morata, Como have set their sights on Milan’s young player Malick Thiaw. The Italian side is believed to be prepared to offer €25 million for Thiaw and an additional €9 million for Morata.

Milan are eager to finalize the arrangements quickly, particularly as the club is actively searching for a new center-forward. In an effort to help secure the transfer, Morata is reportedly willing to reduce his salary demands.

Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has taken a firm stance, stating: “Morata is under contract with us, and we are not willing to release him.” He also stressed that the Turkish champions are not inclined to allow any player to leave without adequate compensation.

Galatasaray shift focus to Osimhen deal

While navigating the Morata situation, Galatasaray are pursuing Victor Osimhen following his standout performances during a loan spell with the club. The Nigerian forward recorded 37 goals and delivered eight assists, contributing significantly to the team’s domestic double triumph last season.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk and club officials are keen to secure Osimhen on a permanent basis. However, the striker’s preference for a Premier League transfer and his high salary expectations could complicate the club’s pursuit.
