FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has heaped praise on Premiership new boys MWOS ahead of the two sides’ Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash at Ngoni Stadium on Saturday.
MWOS have had a fairytale start to life in the country’s top-flight and currently occupy second position on the log standings, with only goal difference separating them from log leaders Simba Bhora.
Mapeza leads his undefeated FC Platinum to Ngoni, but has nothing but respect for the Punters.
“We are playing against a very good side. If you look at MWOS, they have been one of the best-performing teams in the first half of the season,” said Mapeza.
“They (MWOS) have been very consistent in terms of results. If you look at their home record, they have not lost there from the days of Division One.
“They are a very quality and well-coached side. You can tell that they know each other well. If you have a team that knows each other to that level in terms of strengths and weaknesses, they are a dangerous opponent,” Mapeza added.
The former Warriors captain, however, believes his charges are capable enough of picking up maximum points.
“We are ready. Tomorrow we will have our final preparations, then we will travel to Harare,” said Mapeza.
“I can tell after the win over Chicken Inn last week that the lads (the players) are highly motivated.
“Like I have said, we are dedicating the remaining games to Brian Branda,” added Mapeza.
