The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of popular cleric and football benefactor Walter Magaya on allegations of rape and fraud.
Magaya was picked up by detectives this morning, for what police spokesperson Paul Nyathi confirmed to be related to “multiple reports of rape and fraud.”
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Church leader, Walter Magaya, in connection with several reports of rape and fraud,” Nyathi said in a statement.
“The suspect was arrested early today by a police crack team.”
