Kelvin Kaindu’s men set to hit Botswana for final touches as big PSL season awaits

PSL newcomers Hardrock FC are set to jet off to Botswana for a saw-sharpening two-week pre-season camp — a final preparation push as they gear up for their top-flight debut.

The Kelvin Kaindu-coached side will leave for Gaborone on Saturday morning via Robert Mugabe International Airport. In Botswana, they are scheduled to play friendly matches, which are yet to be confirmed.

They will return on the 27th ahead of the scheduled official opening of their home Chahwanda Stadium by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Hopes are high that the multi-million-dollar facility will be ready when Hardrock kicks off their life in the PSL against 2025 Champions, Scottland FC, at home.

A lot is expected from the Golden Boys as they plunge into the whirlwind season, considering the huge investment by owner Shepherd Chahwanda.

They were arguably the busiest team on the market, having let go of the bulk of their players from their promotion-winning team. They retained Munyaradzi Diro-Nyenye, Last Nyilenda, Alpha Dube, and Lenox Mucheto.

Hardrock FC has strengthened its squad for the 2026 season with signings like Zambian striker Andrew Phiri from Singida FC, and other notable players such as Washington Navaya, Wilfred Madzungu, Donald Mudadi, Junior Makunike, Munashe Bamara, and Martin Mapisa, showcasing their ambition to make an immediate impact in the Premier Soccer League.
