The consensus among believers is that faith can move mountains.
That is what recently appointed Dynamos coach Kelvin Kaindu is abiding by, as he seeks to do what many think is virtually impossible.
Kaindu’s task is to ensure Dynamos —the biggest and most successful club in Zimbabwe- avoids relegation at the end of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
The troubled giants kept their hopes alive with a crucial 3-0 victory over out-of-sorts Kwekwe United at Ascot Stadium yesterday.
First-half goals from Jairos Kasondo and Wisdom Mutasa, as well as a 90th-minute strike from Ramson Chingwara, carried the day for DeMbare.
Crucially for DeMbare, it was the first time they won two consecutive league games this season and also the first time they scored more than one goal in a game.
Kaindu, naturally, sees hope on account of the belief the team now has following a run of four wins in succession in the league and Chibuku Super Cup.
“There is a lot of confidence and belief in the team. This is probably the first time this season that the team has won four games in a row,” Kaindu told journalists after the game.
“There is still work to be done; we need to keep on pushing because, like I said, Kwekwe United even came stronger in the second half.
“But getting three points away from home is a plus for us and gives us a lot of hope that indeed survival is still within our reach,” he added.
