Kaindu: Hardrock still needs more time to gel

Kelvin Kaindu says Hardrock FC still needs time to gain full cohesion as the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season heats up — with log leaders Caps United providing their next hurdle.

Hardrock FC is flying high with seven points from their last three matches, having beaten ZPC Kariba and Chicken Inn FC 1-0, and drawing 0-0 with Scotland FC.

Takunda Navaya and Wilfred Madzungu scored the decisive goals against ZPC Kariba and Chicken Inn FC respectively. Simply put, their unbeaten run is a massive statement of intent in their debut PSL season.

On Saturday, Kaindu’s men face Caps United FC, a team cruising with a 100% record and top of the table – it’s a true test of their pedigree. But Kaindu remains steadfast, as if to shield his team from the massive pressure they face as they prepare to make their first trip to the capital city, Harare.

“This is basically a new team, and it’s going to take some time for us to gel and find our rhythm on the pitch. But despite the challenges, I’m seeing glimpses of what we’ve been working towards, and that’s exciting,” Kaindu said.

“It may take a bit of time in terms of cohesion, but there are a few moments that you can see that this is what we’ve been doing. When we gained our confidence, like the way we played in the second half, you could see that this is what we have been working on.”
