Juventus have parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor after the club’s defeat to Lazio extended their run without a victory to eight matches.
Tudor, who took over from Thiago Motta in March, has struggled to turn the team’s fortunes around. The loss in Rome marked Juventus’ third straight defeat in all competitions.
The 43-year-old leaves with the Turin side sitting eighth in Serie A, six points adrift of leaders Napoli. The club’s domestic form has faltered in recent weeks, with five league games passing without a win.
In a brief statement, Juventus expressed gratitude to Tudor and his staff for their “professionalism and dedication,” while wishing them success in the future.
Brambilla to lead team against Udinese
Following Tudor’s dismissal, Juventus confirmed that Massimiliano Brambilla will step in as interim manager.
Brambilla, currently in charge of the club’s youth setup, will oversee the team’s upcoming Serie A fixture against Udinese on Wednesday at 17:30 GMT.
The club’s immediate focus is to halt the decline in results and regain stability ahead of a challenging stretch of fixtures.
Struggles extend to European stage
Juventus’ difficulties have not been limited to domestic competition. Their Champions League campaign has also begun poorly.
After three group-stage matches, the Italian side sits 25th overall in the standings, having drawn twice and suffered one defeat.
This slow start has increased pressure on the team, with fans and officials alike demanding improvement both in Italy and in Europe.
