Zimbabwe international Junior Zindoga has credited South Africa TS Galaxy for helping him rise from the ashes and earn recognition for Warriors duty.

Zindoga, who previously starred for Ngezi Platinum Stars and Yadah in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, is emerging as a key forward for TS Galaxy.

The 27-year-old, who was signed by the Tim Sukazi-owned club while nursing an injury, has scored three goals – two in the league and one in the Nedbank Cup, where they are in the final.

This is his third club in South Africa, having played for Maritzburg United and Marumo Gallants. According to Zindoga, the TS Galaxy environment has elevated him, putting him on the right path as he aims to rise at both club and national team level.

Zindoga said Galaxy accepted him while he was nursing an injury and gave him a platform to be appreciated back home.

“I really appreciate the trust that I have from the chairman [Tim Sukazi], who signed me while I was injured. And then coach Adnan Beganovic and the whole medical team, because they signed me while I was injured and they knew I couldn’t play for a few months,” Zindoga is quoted by South African publication, FARPost.

“The rehab that they did with me and the patience as well. So I always had meetings with the coaches before I started playing, and they just told me to be patient, trust them, and that they would manage me.

“And that if I wanted to improve, I just had to accept what they wanted to do with me as well. Now I am also a national team player because of the platform they gave me, to be seen and appreciated back home.”
