Hwange, Dynamos and Megawatt set for pre-season mini-tournament

Southern Region Soccer League side Hwange FC are set to host a three-team mini-tournament as they continue preparing for the 2026 season.

Chipangano had hoped for PSL promotion last season but Bulawayo Chiefs proved to be a force to be reckoned with, and they (Hwange) had to settle for second position with 75 points at the end of the season.

The team started the season with Rodwell Dhlakama before the veteran coach left for GreenFuel and was replaced by Njabulo Dube, who is still in charge.

The three-team mini-tournament will feature Harare giants Dynamos FC, who are starting life under recently appointed coach Genesis Mangombe, and Megawatt.

A source at Hwange told Fanzone that the tournament is scheduled for February 8-13, 2026.

Hwange FC are among the teams tipped for PSL promotion in the Southern Region Division One.
