Hippo Hockey Club coach Edgar Buchibwa set sights on bronze medal

The Africa Cup for Club Champions (ACCC) will end tomorrow with Zimbabwean representatives Bulawayo Hockey Club (BHC) and Hippo Hockey Club set to battle for the bronze medal.

The continental tournament kicked off in Harare last week.

Hippo coach Edgar Muchibwa told Fanzone that the tournament has been a great achievement not only for Hippo but for Zimbabwean hockey at large.

“The tournament has been nothing short of fun, excitement, and growth, not just for Hippo but for Zimbabwean hockey,” he said.

He added that tomorrow’s bronze match is about embracing the opportunity and the girls expressing themselves.

“Heading into the bronze match, the ladies are quite relaxed and their play is to embrace the opportunity, express themselves, and give the fans a decent show. Whoever wins tomorrow grows Zimbabwean hockey. We are thrilled to have this opportunity,” added Muchibwa.
