Dynamos’ kit manager Harry Lusengo, son of the club’s embattled board member Bernard Marriot Lusengo, has come out in defence of his father, saying he is not to blame for the troubled giants’ crisis.
The cash-strapped former champions are great danger of relegation and need to win at least eight of their remaining 14 games to guarantee their survival.
Dynamos, despite sacking head coach Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigowe and replacing him with Saul Chaminuka, have had arguably their worst Premier Soccer League season ever, winning just two of their 20 games so far.
DeMbare have scored just six goals in the 2025 campaign- the least among all teams and need a miracle to turnaround their season and avoid the chop.
With the majority of Dynamos fans pointing their fingers at Marriot and baying for the soft-spoken board chairman’s blood, Harry insists the problems at DeMbare can be explained better by what happens on the field of play, rather than his father’s leadership qualities.
“Which position does Marriot play at Dynamos, that which make you criticize him all the time?” Harry wrote on Facebook.
While Marriot has not broken silence on the crisis at Dynamos, many of the Glamour Boys’ fans believe his reluctance to either manage the club properly or refusal to sell it to someone with the capacity to do so, is what’s to blame for the catastrophe.
