Former Warriors and Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro dies aged 40

The Zimbabwean football fraternity has been plunged into mourning, following the death of former Warriors and Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro.

He was 40

Details of his passing on are still sketchy, but reports from South Africa indicate that Ndoro passed away in his apartment in the Rainbow Nation.

Some time last year, reports emerged that the former forward was unwell, though he dismissed them.

Fire 7, as Ndoro was affectionately known, was actually linked with a return to football, amid reports that Eswatini First Division side Stumbo, were interested in him.

Messages of condolences from former teammates are already pouring in on social media.

Ndoro played for Chicken Inn in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League before moving to Pirates in June 2015.

He also played for Highlands Park in the South African Premiership, as well as a brief stint in Saudi Arabia, where he turned out for Al Faisaly.
