FC Platinum pay tribute to long-serving Hagiazo Magaya

Four-time PSL champions FC Platinum have paid tribute to Hagiazo Magaya, their longest-serving player, having joined the club in 2019.

Magaya, one of the most effective but underrated defensive midfielders, has flourished at the Zvishavane club, starting under Norman Mapeza and then Lizwe Sweswe.

Under Joel Lupahla, Magaya remains a vital cog at the club as they seek to rise to the top in the PSL. Having joined during their trailblazing time, Magaya helped them win their last two league titles.

It remains to be seen if the 26-year-old continues his longevity at the club as he’s also tipped to be one of the team’s captains.

“Since 2019, Hagiazo El-Shaddai Desire Magaya has quietly written his story at FC Platinum,” the club posted on Facebook.

“From a young midfielder finding his feet to becoming the longest-serving member of the squad, Magaya has shown what loyalty truly means.

“He has worn jersey numbers 8, 9 and 25, but no matter the number on his back, his commitment to the badge has never wavered.

“From league battles at home to representing the club on the continental stage in the CAF Champions League, he has remained consistent, humble and fully dedicated to the team. Not just a player, not just a number, but a true servant of Platinum.”
