FC Hunters unveil rebranded logo, but questions linger over N’ombeyaora partnership

‎FC Hunters have officially unveiled their new logo, marking a new era in the club’s history ahead of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.

‎The rebranded logo features a striking combination of N’ombeyaora blue stripes and the FC Hunters’ iconic tiger face, symbolizing the partnership between the two teams.

‎The announcement was made by Simbarashe “Runos” Runodada, Chairman of the FC Hunters Supporters Association, through the club’s official WhatsApp group.

‎Alongside the new logo, the team also revealed their rebranded team bus, which was previously used by N’ombeyaora in the 2025 Northern Region Soccer League season.

‎However, beneath the excitement, a sour note has emerged.

‎A source close to FC Hunters revealed to Fanzone that N’ombeyaora has no intention of taking any players from FC Hunters, with head coach Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera opting to stick with his current squad and make a few additions from their own side.

‎”Our sources close to the club reveal that N’ombeyaora isn’t planning to take any FC Hunters players,” the source told Fanzone. “Coach Yabo wants to stick with his current squad and just add a few players from their own side.”

‎The source also claimed that FC Hunters’ top asset, Godfrey Dabgwa, was a favourite to be added to N’ombeyaora’s squad, but he has indicated his desire to leave the club.

‎However, club president Andrew Gore is holding out, demanding a hefty pay from any potential suitors.

‎”Dabgwa was definitely on N’ombeyaora’s radar, but he’s made it clear he wants to leave FC Hunters,” the source added. “However, president Andrew Gore is holding firm, looking for a big payday for their top asset.”

‎As FC Hunters prepare for the upcoming 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, the club has in the past stated that Marondera’s Rudhaka Stadium will be their home ground.

‎However, with the league set to start in March, concerns have been raised about the stadium’s readiness to meet the minimum requirements to host Premier Soccer League matches.

‎For now, FC Hunters are focused on their rebranding efforts, but the question on everyone’s mind is: what’s next for the team, and will the partnership with N’ombeyaora yield the desired results in the Premier Soccer League?
