Fanzone Team of the Week: Matchday Ten

Matchday 10 brought goals, standout defensive performances, and some brilliant individual displays as teams continued battling for momentum in the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season. From dominant defenders to midfielders stepping up with goals and assists, this weekend had plenty of memorable moments. Here is the Fanzone Team of the Week for Matchday 10.
Goalkeeper
Future Sibanda (ZPC Kariba) – Sibanda produced another assured display between the posts, keeping a clean sheet against MWOS and making important interventions whenever called upon.
Defenders
Nomore Tsabora (Simba Bhora) – One of the standout players of the round, Tsabora assisted both goals in Simba Bhora’s win over Scottland and constantly contributed going forward while remaining disciplined defensively.
Ishmael Nyanhi (Simba Bhora) – An energetic and composed performance from the wing-back, who balanced his defensive duties well and supported attacks effectively.
Lawrence Chaziya (Simba Bhora) – Outstanding at centre-back, Chaziya controlled the defence with authority and ensured Scottland found little joy in attack.
Ralph Kawondera (Herentals) – Usually known for his attacking qualities, Kawondera impressed in a defensive role with a hardworking and disciplined performance.
Brendon Rendo (Chicken Inn) – A solid display at right-back against Dynamos, where he defended strongly and handled pressure well throughout the match.
Midfielders
Busi Mathe (Bulawayo Chiefs) – A commanding performance in midfield, helping Bulawayo Chiefs secure an important win over CAPS United with his composure and work rate.
Junior Makunike (Hardrock) – A dream first start of the season for Makunike, who marked the occasion with a brace and an influential all-round display.
Donald Mudadi (Hardrock) – Produced one of the moments of the weekend with a beautiful goal while also adding an assist in a superb attacking performance.
Forwards
Tinashe Mashaireni (Hardrock) – Came off the bench and completely changed the game, scoring twice in the space of three minutes with clinical finishing.
Rahim Binwell (Chicken Inn) – Another impressive performance from the forward, who bagged a brace and continued to show his quality in front of goal.
Matchday 10 proved to be another entertaining chapter in the season, with several players stepping up in crucial moments for their teams. With form beginning to build and confidence growing, the competition across the league is only becoming more intense.
